What we’re on about…
As a church our focus is threefold.
SEEKING THE LOST: Sharing the Gospel with our world.
We hold the bible to be the inspired and authoritative word of God, to be believed and obeyed. We marvel at God’s awesome love, that through faith in Jesus, forgiveness of sins and eternal life can be ours. We believe that all of mankind needs to hear the great news of God’s love, shown in Jesus.
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven
given to men by which we must be saved” Acts 4:12
“How, then can they call on the one they have not believed in?
And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?
And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?…” Romans 10:14
GROWING IN MATURITY: Enjoying God as we grow more like Christ
We live to serve our risen Saviour, the Lord Jesus and to be transformed into his likeness.
“Others, like the seed grown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop –
thirty, sixty or even a hundred times what was sown.” Mark 4:20
“We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom,
so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.” Colossians 1:28
BEING CHRIST’S BODY: Enjoying God as we serve one another
We also meet together to love and encourage one another, using our God given gifts in the building up of His church.
“But in fact God has arranged the parts of the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.” 1 Corinthians 12:18
“…I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God
may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good.
These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.” Titus 3:8
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility
consider others better than yourselves.
Each of you should look not only to your own interests,
but also to the interests of others.” Philippians 2:3-4
